Candidates for "Best Example of RIAA curve before CD's came out"?

Mods, this might well be IMHO territory, but since it involves music, I figured I’d drop it here.

What recordings pre-1978 through 1982 sounded the “best”?
Qualifications:

  1. Must be analogue

  2. Preferably LP; however, cassette tape examples will do in a pinch.
    Thanks!

For recording quality?

I nominate the 1964 London Phase 4 Stereo recording of Leopold Stokowski conducting the London Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

Grab that baby and crank it to 11 and stand back. (Don’t do this if you are prone to heart problems).
