Can't find free stuff...HELP!

Here’s where I display my utter stupidity regarding computers.

I’ve been looking and looking…and coming up empty-handed. I want to put a message board and a guestbook on my new homepage. I want free and bannerless. I found a couple message boards that require Linux for Intel, or something like that…I know that I have a little thing on the front of my processor that says “Intel Inside, Pentium II”. I have no idea what Linux is…can I use one of those programs? I’m using Windows 98. Otherwise, can someone recommend something? Pwease?

Linux is an operating system. Like WIndows98

Try www.boardhost.com. I also think xoom allows this, but not sure.
