Can't login to #@$%!! XP

My girlfriend just tried to get rid of her login screen, and followed some intructions she found to make an unnattended startup.

Long story short, it looks like the admin she had is wrong, and she can’t get on. Suggestions, work arounds?

Keep in mind, she can’t get on the machine to make changes.

She’s using XP Home

Man, World Eater, you’ve been having some bad luck with computers lately, no??

This site:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

has a Linux floppy disk that can reset Administrator passwords (or any other account, for that matter). Just be sure TO FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER, or else Bad Things™ can happen. Also, follow their advice and change the local admin password to blank with the disk, THEN change it to whatever else you’d like one you’ve logged in to XP.

FYI - I’ve used this utility on dozens of 2000 Pro boxes, 2000 (stand-alone) Servers and XP boxes and only had one failure: an XP Pro box that had a single system partition of 200GB. Apparently the Linux disk can’t read partitions that large.

Actually electronics in general Rex, somehow I managed to glitch my digital camera last night. :smack:

As far as the boot floppy, someone mentioned that on dsl reports as well, so that looks like the way to go, thanks.

Her drive is 160 gig, I hope I won’t have a problem.
