Think this thread might make it into my “Quasi’s Greatest Hits” after I die?
Manual evacuation is also a possible option. Not a very appealing option, granted, but something to consider.
This thread is beginning to sound like I may be renting a backhoe pretty soon.
So… My Daily Poop Report: That Citrate stuff didn’t seem to work (we bought two bottles - one is left); today -Sunday - we bought some suppositories and a small Fleet’s enema.
The Suppositories: Just used one and had a kind of “slurry” stool. You couldn’t really call it of a “custard thickness”), but almost. That was 20 minutes ago and it was a medium amount, I AM getting enough fiber, as I eat those Nature Valley bars 2-3 times a day…
The Fleet’s: Haven’t tried it yet.
Possibility: Thinking of calling my GI lab at the VA Hospital and suggesting a “trial run” with the colonoscopy prep they sent me (you take 4 Dulcos, and then mix that powder in with the water in that jug and drink it over two days) ----- sort of a “dry run” (get it?) and have them send me another one before the 21st.
So that’s it for today, folks.
Quasi
PS: Just a thought: what if I’ve expelled it already and just haven’t gotten used to that feeling of being able to breathe out of either end?
the powder you mix with water is Miralax or the generic equivalent, polyethylene glycol. you can buy it at any drugstore or discount store for a few bucks.
Go for it, Quasi!
Are you sure you have something parked in the tollway? 'Cause I’m not. You might have the sensation without the obstruction.
Good god, Quasi, just give yourself an enema already. Use warm water, put some lube on the tip and squirt it up there. Then lie down on your left side for about 30 seconds and head to the toilet. Good luck!
Yeah, guys — I’m wondering that myself; maybe it’s all psychological now, that feeling. Scootergirl, thank you as well. I’ve already read up on how to give myself a high colonic.
Sorry about gettin’ on y’all’s nerves, but all things considered, I couldn’t talk about this to people in my real-time life.
I’ll check in again after the 21st. Maybe my GI guy will be heard to say, “this is the cleanest asshole I’ve ever seen!”
I appreciate y’all so much more than I can ever…express.

Try the Squatty Potty ! I know someone that brought one and it worked for them !
Do you drink enough water ?
Ask about Linzess. It’s the most powerful laxative that exists. It’s the only one that works for me.
Yeah, I saw that Squatty Potty commercial from the link above. WOuldn’t one of those cheap 4 legged plastic step thingies (about 8" high) work just as well? Why pay Amazon $25.00?Yes, I drink so much water my pee looks like there’s hardly any yellow in it.
But I’m really thinking this may now be psychological and it’s already gone.
Thanks,
Q
Just don’t get the Propylene glycol. That’s antifreeze. It’ll clear you out, but only because you can’t hold it in when you’re dead!
Poly not Propy. Got it, thanks, Doctor Jackson!
sorry I don’t understand your post.
Not everyone goes poo every day or two.
The healthcare recommendations guidelines is healthy person should have at least three bowel movements in week. That means if you have less than three in week it could be problem and thus you should see doctor.
Some people go every day and some people go every two days.
People that exercise and have right diet will go more than people that don’t exercise and have mad diet.
Are you scared you not going enough in week? Also you never said how much you eat or what you eat in day.
I have problems like this all the time and have for years. When my husband has to go, he goes to the bathroom, closes the door, and in about five minutes is done and washing his hands. He has no clue about the suffering some of us go through.
My Gastro put me on something called Colace to use with Mirilax. He said to try once a day but move to twice a day if I need it. I can’t eat solid food, so I have the liquid, and it has to be the worst tasting stuff in the world.
But it seems to work, thank goodness.
I got 'er done. I’ll write a bit more about this later (some very interesting stuff), but for right now, they cut off 2 polyps and sent them to be biopsied…
Be back soon.
