I have a dent in the back door of my 2017 Nissan Rogue. There is no other damage to the car. The paint is intact. What’s a ballpark cost to fix this? Hopefully $500 but maybe $1000? White color if that matters.
Depends on the dent. How bad is it? Can you post a picture? How well do you want it fixed. A replacement panel may be expensive. Someone can make that look like new for $500 or less, but a lot of body shops won’t do anything but insurance work, so you may have to look around. Ask whoever does other service on your car, they may know someone locally.
This is not an insurance claim. I will ask my regular mechanic about body shops.
Can you give some estimate of the size of the dent? X inches wide, and Y inches high, and as deep as Z inches? A new door panel may be expensive, a used one less so, pulling the dent and filling with Bondo much less than that. That final option may be the only way to get it done for $500 or less.
Do you mind having a two color car? Replacing it with a used door may be a reasonable solution if you don’t need it painted also. Since it’s a fairly new car I assume you prefer not to go two-tone like that.
I can pay $1000 if needed , I don’t want to go cheap. The dent is pretty big maybe 10x10 inches. It might be cheaper just to replace the door panel . I will try to go to a shop today and get a quote.
That’s not a huge dent but I think I’d get a new door panel for a car that new also. Good luck.
