Car washing OCD

???

What in the world for?

I hate mowing my lawn but in the middle of summer, there’s about a month where I have to mow mine about 3 times week. If I push it much farther then that, it’s too hard to mow and then I have to rake up the cut grass. Also, sometimes I’m doing it so often because it’s raining so much. So if, it’s been raining for the last two days, and I know it’s going to be raining tomorrow, I’m going to do it today. Sometimes, if the next non-raining day I get is the day after tomorrow, I might do it again then. In rainy weather, my grass grows really fast.

Do push mowers not cut the grass as short or as well or, wait what?

If you don’t mow with a push mower often, the grass gets too tall and you can’t mow it at all, I would assume.

And I never wash my cars.

Why would you be afraid of high pressure water blasting the undercarriage of your car?

I once had a neighbor who washed his car at least twice a week and usually more often than that. Plus, every time he washed it, he detailed the inside and I’m talking q-tips to get into the tight places. He had a big Lincoln with leather upholstery; he used saddle soap, Armour-all and God knows what. He had tire cleaner, tire blackener, etc, etc. and he used this stuff every time he washed the car; he also polished and/or waxed it at least once a week. He was pretty anal in other ways, too. With the car though, he seemed to really enjoy doing it and would make a day of it every time.
