ThelmaLou, I like your style. I’m gaining a pound or two on roadway junk food on my next road trip in your honor…
Wow. I’ve never seen those. Sort of a rectangular moon pie, eh? I like how the article sort of admits they messed up in their first attempt at a comeback.
Awww… <curtsies> Anytime I can help out.
I’ve never liked Oreos. Sunshine Hydrox were my crack. And they’ve been gone for ages. An independent baker tried a reboot, but, nah, not even close.
My favorite cookie as a kid, though, was Cup Custard. Also, now sadly gone.
I’ve never jonesed for any Hostess product that I can remember.
Oh, who makes those hand pies? I used to love the pineapple ones. Tried one a few years ago and waaaaaaaay too sweet.
Too many treats now are so flavorless, just sweet. I am sad.
Y’all can take your cupcakes and your Ding Dongs and your Hoo-Haws and get yerselves a ho-tel room and make love with them 'til the morning light shines through the blinds.
Give me a Hostess Honey Bun any old day of the week. The real one - with the white-paste icing.
mmm
Oh, baby. I DO love me some honey buns. I hope you don’t just bite into the thing like some kind of barbarian, but coax the spiral open slowly and lovingly, right? When I was in college, the honey bun and a Dr. Pepper (with a squeeze of lemon) was my snack of choice. I was quite sophisticated.
Unfortunately I fear a significant part of this change in taste is due to presbygeusia, to old taste buds. Presbyosmia, or decrease in odor sensitivity due to age is also a factor.
It’s hell getting old!
Of course. The ‘heart’ - saved for last - is the best part.
mmm
Oooooo…yeah. I could eat a honey bun or six right now.
I guess a really sophisticated person would snack on a honey bun and a martini.
