Well, the poster boy for that is Fox News, and everybody else who says “LSM” without sarcasm thinks Fox News is da bomb.
Yes, a couple other threads are discussing the interesting and disturbing Ben Carson claim that the pyramids were built by Joseph to store grain. It is not a case of him misspeaking; he said it at a commencement address in 1998, and yesterday he said he still believes it.
The video of his 1998 address is here:
He starts talking about the pyramids at about 3:45.
I don’t watch SNL since Gilda Radner left, but I did watch the most recent episode. Apologies if the recent Saturday Night Live episode is being discussed in another thread.
My question is: Did the broadcast help or hurt Mr. Trump among those who watched it?
Will SNL invite the other candidates to appear? Which would accept?
I didn’t have the stomach to watch it. But based on this review, it sounds like it was a total waste of time and won’t make a difference to his campaign one way or another. Hillary’s recent appearance worked because it was limited to one sketch and it was somewhat funny.
I occasionally watch SNL if there’s absolutely nothing else on. The jokes and cast members just aren’t that funny anymore. Waiting an hour to hear one, or maybe two, funny jokes seems like a big waste of time. I wonder why the show is still on the air?
I did watch the most recent show. The jokes sucked. The skits sucked. The musical guest sucked. If I had paid to watch a similar show at a local comedy club, I would have walked out and demanded my money back. What a stinker!
I don’t believe the show helped or hurt Trump. The people who didn’t like Trump before the show, still do not like Trump. The people who liked Trump before the show still like Trump. The SNL show did demonstrated that Trump has a sense of humor.
I’m sure the other candidates would jump at the chance to appear/host a SNL show. Why not? It’s free publicity.
Well, Trump’s not entirely wrong. We really shouldn’t have someone prone to fits of violent rage as our President. However, this seems to be hurting Trump worse than Carson, given that Carson can turn it into a redemption story whereas Trump just comes off as mean.
No. But I keep hoping that accuracy will replace being first as the primary driving force of the MSM.
Those media outlets who consistently, and repeatedly, issue innuendo, rumors, political propaganda, and horseshit as news are the ones who are dragging the standard down, if a high standard can still exists.
I’m pretty sure his handlers would stop that before he actually made good on it.
Frankly, though, narcissistic rage can be pretty florid and self-destructive. If Trump really is losing it like it seems he is, he could become amazingly irrational and end up damaging his brand to an even larger degree than he already has. (And, yes, at this point, he has: He’s lost business. I haven’t heard of him gaining any.)
