Cause I own the Raymond Scott version on CD, & the WB band ain’t fit to sweep the floor after one of Scott’s gigs.

FWIW, Stalling was originally from Kansas City. He came to California to work for his friend who was starting a cartoon studio: Walt Disney.
The Raymond Scott Quintette consisted of six persons (despite the name), and the Warner Bros. Studio Orchestra (which performed for both live-action and cartoons) was 30 or 40, maybe more. I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two, since one was a small jazz band and the other a full symphony orchestra.
