When Mayor Richard J. Daley died back in 1976, it was said that he would no longer be mayor, but he’ll still vote a straight Democratic ticket.
My aunt who lived in Chicago was a Republican until she died.
As the saying goes, “Those who don’t believe in the resurrection of the dead have never been in Chicago on election day.”
Vote early and vote often!
After that she was a Democrat.
