Arthur?
Congrats - obviously a Grant fan, Antonius. Just pipped at the post, Ilsa. Atticus, ‘Arthur’ has that Edwardian ring to it!
With the 12-15 hour time difference between HK and USA, I realise I narrowed the field a bit, but perhaps US dopers getting up on Monday morning can whack their answers in to see if anyone can beat Ilsa’s 6 off the bat.
What was the other “A” for?
I apologize for a stupid question. No excuse , Sir! A reason, thougfh. I just finished a rather good bottle of Australiian Merlot. ::Hic!::
Not a problem, Geezer. I guess the thin desert air might accentuate the effects of the grape.
That’s an oxymoron, isn’t it?
(I am absenting myself from this quiz because, coincidentally, I just finished writing an Encyclopedia entry on Cary Grant . . . )
Eve, this was just the hors d’oeuvres. How about you doing a follow-up quiz on the great man? Say, 20 questions. Same rules apply - no googling.
It was only a 500-word entry, and only six of your questions were directly addressed in it (I had his whole life and career to cover, so I had to breeze over a few inconsequentials!).
Jeez, tomorrow I gotta finish the entry on Richard Burton . . .
Perhaps when you’ve got more time. A quiz from a real movie buff would be fun. And Richard Burton! Another of my heroes.
