And yeah, Corporal Furgusson looks like he could still tear someone’s shit up if needed. 
The fact is he could have waved off and not attempted the landing in the first place so even if he hadn’t have been shot he is a very brave man.
The depressing thing that I read in a newspaper article that included this incident was about a twenty one year old squaddie who carried on clearing a minefield though badly injured, survived to go home and was killed by a van crossing the road.
