Something that I missed from the movie… can someone fill me in as to what it was about “the package” that Hanks delivered at the end of the movie that “saved his life”?
I can see how some weak argument could be made that it gave him some purpose, or something, but as I said in my MPSIMS thread (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=56157)…this film was a complete disappointment.
Making sense and meaning were a bit lacking, or absent altogether, in too many aspects of this film.
