cast stone recipe

I’m looking for the base recipe for a cast stone that I can change to make it my own. Hell, everyone else talks about their secret recipe, why shouldn’t I?
The cast stone I’m talking about is the stuff typically found in contemporary garden statuary. I have been fooling around with a polyester casting resin and adding powdered marble and sand.
The product is nice but it’s hard to get away from the slight amber tint that the resin imparts.
I recently saw some items that if I didn’t know better I would swear were made of straight cement. I’m wondering if there is some powdered water activated epoxy type product that was used . Certainly cement alone would not be enough to keep all the little detail from being obliterated.
The cement-like products have a much better “feel” to them. They are kinda cold to the touch and way heavy. Mine just has that slightly annoying plastic feel to them and are kind of dead to the touch. Plus, the color of the mystery resin is much more like cement.
Not to mention the potential cost savings.
Cheers.

Hey, I let it scroll down to the fourth page. I think a bump is order.
