Casting for "Matilda"

Most would judge great casting and acting performance on how closely the characters delineate those in the original medium (the book.) Others think it’s all in the director’s interpretation and the way an actor would attack a role. Well in Matilda, I thought DeVito, Perlman and Ferris were brilliant in both counts. Davitz on the first (seems Miss Honey is too internal a character to be fully rendered on screen.) Mara Wilson is a re-interpretation.

Comments?

And it was a good re-interpretation. REAL good!

Don’t fuck with Mara Wilson.
