Castro offers to send aid to Katrina victims; no response

I think it is too, Ponder Stibbons. Thats why I initially brought it up. Its a BIG deal to some of us, though saddly it doesn’t seem to be that big a deal here (or maybe not even in the US as a whole). Castro gets dissed and that rates a thread…but Mexico, for the first time in over a century, is sending in (directly mind you) relief supplies to help the US…and thats not even worth much comment. Ah well…whats one mans gold is anothers dross I guess.

Thanks for the link. Appreciated.

Actually, I don’t think there’s a vast need for doctors per se. Most people down there are simply not in serious medical need AFAIK.

Is this an argument for or against normalizing relations with Cuba?

It ran several times last night on the various CNN programs: Anderson Cooper, Aaron Brown; general news program.

Well, I kind of meant on this board (or even in this thread), but I take your point.

Does that mean we can expect a liberal, open-door policy for Yankee wetbacks?

Undoubtedly.
