Cat Fur Brush--recommendations?

I just got a new kitty…with a bunch of white fur on her belly.
And, gee, it sure would be nice if it would stay on her belly…

But , alas, she loves sitting on my left shoulder. Which means that one side of my shirts gets whiter than the other side.

Now, that might make a good slogan for a commercial testing laundry soap powders. But I ain’t comparing soap powders, I’m just doin’ laundry.
And I’m looking for a way to remove the fur before putting the clothes in the machine.

In short, folks here’s the big question: Who’s got a good fur brush? You know, one that actually works?

The individual hairs of this cat’s fur are shorter-length than my previous cat, and seem to detach themselves more easily, too. And then stay stuck to the fabric.
I’ve tried the sticky-roller things. (works okay, but not the best)
And I’ve tried using just regular masking-tape (i.e. using a 2-inch wide piece of tape, press it down on the fabric and remove. Over and over again. And again. And again.

Has anybody got any magic solutions?

Get a lilly brush. It’s just a chunk of plastic with rubber around the rim, but it works.

The FURminator is the best cat brush. It was recommended to us (I forget by whom) and it really is worth the money.

That does look like an effective way to brush some hair off the cat

Hairs removed from the cat won’t stick to the shirt  .
I have given up. Turn the shirt inside out, under the washing the cat hairs will form small furballs, which can be picked off. The turning inside out will keep the furballs to the shirt.
My cat have dark hairs which is easy to see when lumped together.
