Cat People (1982)

Ah! OK, got it.

Natassija Kinsky seems to have been busy enough in the last couple decades but didn’t do anything really noteworthy. I remember reading an interview where she said everyone working on Cat People, except her, was totally wasted. A lot of negative reviews came out on this movie, but I loved it, it was a real slice of 80’s.

I agree in general, but I must quibble with your selection. Annette’s best was the also-underappreciated Smile. In fact, in looking it up just now, I was surprised by how far down she is in the credits; she totally steals the film.

O’Toole also gets sufficiently naked in Cross My Heart (1987).
Of course, so does Martin Short, but I consider that the price of emission.

Oh great. Now I have the image of a naked Ed Grimley in my head.

Nice.

One of my absolute favorite movies.

I thought she looked too skinny in this movie. Her short hairstyle didn’t help things either.

I thought that Kinski was stunning in the movie, especially in the early scene when they do a close up of her face and you could almost see the cat inside her mind. Damn. The whole soundtrack was great, some of Moroder’s best work. The New Orleans atmosphere was perfect. The plot … the plot … was … so crappy.

There is also Bauhaus doing “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”: and “Putting Out Fire” was a dirge.

There’s a HD DVD version of Cat People.

Odd, that Amazon shows it already discontinued.
Why discontinue a new format that just barely came out? There’s still plenty of used copies available if you have a HD DVD player.
