I moved into my new apartment just under a month ago. Shortly after I moved in, my cat pissed under the built-in desk in my bedroom. I’ve tried scrubbing, vaccuming, febreezing, lysoling, you name it, I’ve tried it. But it still smells like cat piss. And no, she hasn’t been pissing there since, I’ve blocked the area off so that she couldn’t get back under there. Anyone have suggestions as to what I can do to make my bedroom habitable again? Having a bedroom that smells like cat piss is really going to cramp my sex life. Thanks in advance.
I’ve had good luck with baking soda. Spread it around, wait a while, then vacuum.
I’ve heard vinegar works.
Personally I favor a spray that I got from PetSmart a while back. It’s called something lame like “Pet Stain & Odor Remover” but it works. It is enzyme-based and is supposed to actually destroy the stinky protein. I’ve liked the results.

But yes, back on topic, I’ve had good results with baking soda.
Get some “Nature’s Miracle” at the pet store. Get the big bottle. Pour the stuff under the desk until the entire area is completely wet. Let it dry. In my experience, the odor will be gone.
Its the only think I’ve found that does work and even then there have been failures.

“Simple Solution” seems to be as good as “Nature’s Miracle” but it’s a lot cheaper.
PetZyme is a product that has worked well for me. Nature’s Miracle works well in the litter box, but I’ve only seen it as a powder. Petzyme is a spray.
