I work for the provincial government and we have an online classifieds section that can be accessed by anyone in the government. I’ve bought a few things there like a piano and a Coach bag.
It’s a pretty typical classifieds section with typical things for sale but every once in a while there is something bizarre. For instance for the last TWO YEARS every so often a lady puts up an add for a bottle of used self-tanning lotion. Or the lady who put up the add for a 6 year old mattress for $125.
But today takes the cake! Here is the add:
*Bought a large amount of play sand 4 yrs ago for over $300. Last year the neighbourhood cats visited and now the sand is no good for play. Perhaps okay for construction purposes. Most of the “stuff” has been scooped out. We are looking to get a minimal amount for it. You will need to come and haul it out of backyard by yourself (will need helper or 2). Backyard can only be accessed via the side of the house with 3 stairs to go down. We do have a wheel barrowl and spade you can use.

I imagine if I was surveying my yard and saw a pile of sand/dirt with wild animal feces in it, my first thought would not be “I bet someone would like to buy that!” it would be “gee, I need to get rid of this disgusting garbage”.
Anyway some of us were laughing so hard about this that we were crying and couldn’t talk properly so I thought I’d share it.
