Cyclone Clare crossed the coast this morning. No reports of major damage as yet.
But there have been reports of surfers being rescued from the dangerous conditions. You have to wonder about the sanity of such people.

I have a friend in Karratha right now, with her husband and baby boy (3 mths). I’m rather worried about them, and hoping they’re safe from bodily harm. Their house is provided by her husband’s employer and properly insured, so at least the cost of any property damage won’t be a problem for them.
