Catholics aren't really Christian? Huh?

I am not a Christian, but I would expect a supreme being to be better to his childern than me. I would never give my child anything I knew would harm them nor would I hold anything back that I knew for certain would harm them, nor do they need to beg me for what they need if i know what it is. and if they begged me for their daily necessities or had to beg me for medical attention when they were sick I would think something is wrong with me. Since I am not all knowng(like an all knowing supreme being I can only guess at what they need. but to me an all knowing God should automatically give the necessary things and hold back anything harmful. And i would expect a loving father that is all knowing wouldn’t need them to even ask.

I have found in my life that I just do the best i can,and most things work out well for me, I know that there are things I cannot control. I also realize that when a person had a slight pneumonia or even the measlesyears ago they died, no matter how much people prayed, and so many died of polio before the Salk vaccine was available. I had a small brother die of meningiitis as did many during that time.
To me if a prayer helps a persn to accept what comes it is not bad, I just think it is unnecessary, the out come could be the same.

I have been thinking about this a bit and it would seem that if you recognize Jesus as the last and true messiah then you are a christian. Now that leaves a lot of leeway of course.

There are even people [like me] who call them selves cultural christians.
