I’ve been reading a lot of wildlife essays lately from a certain magazine. Unfortunately I found that two issues of said magazine completely conflict each other on the topic of whether or not cats can see in color. Can you settle this for me?

Cats are not completely colorblind. Check this out:

Cecil covered this topic in: Are cats and dogs really color-blind? How do they know? and came up with the same basic conclusions as the link above: they can see in color, but their color vision isn’t as good as ours, and they don’t depend on it as much as humans do.
