CCNA Bootcamp/Exam Question...

Here is my delema. I am scheduled to take a Global Knowledge CCNA bootcamp December 11-15. I was hoping to write my exam on the 21st of December.

The only place where I can write the exam (within 300KM) is shutting down for Christams on the week of the 18th. I called and talked to them and they said if I really wanted to, I could write on the morning of the 18th, otherwise I have to wait until January 2nd at the earliest.

I heard the Bootcamp is pretty brutal (10-12 hour days) and you are pretty drained when you’re done. I also read it’s not recomended to write the exam write away, and that you should wait a couple of weeks before you write.

But seeing as it’s Christmas, I’ll have zero time to study.

So what are your thoughts, should I write right away or wait?

Postpone it until after Christmas.

Sorry - that should be postpone the whole thing until after Christmas.

For the benefit of us non-Canadians, what is a CCNA? Is it similar to the ACT or SAT tests that we have in the states?

If so, I think it would be better to leave a couple of weeks in between an extensive “boot camp” environment before you take the test, to allow things to “sink in” and be a little more relaxed when you take the test.

It’s actually not Canadian at all, it stands for:
Cisco
Certified
Network
Associate

Unfortunately, the course is paid for, and due to the project I’m working on it’s the only time I can take the Bootcamp. So I’m committed to taking the course at this time.
