I just bought a metal case for traveling with CDs. When I’m not traveling, I usually leave the case in the car – would there be a problem with storing CDs in a hot car in a metal case?
So … that would be “what difference would the metal case make?”
Polycarbonate melts at around 375°F.
Some phthalocyanine dyes used for CDR’s decompose at 600°F
You should be OK heat-wise.
Thanks!
