No sooner did I post this (and promptly forget all about it) than I discovered in our book sale a copy of the 2-disk remaster of Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue. So add that to my tally. :o
I’m with Quasimodem - I’ve bought Graceland at least three times. Keep losing 'em in moves. I’ve also owned multiple copies of Cowboy Junkie’s Trinity Sessions and Suzanne Vega’s Retrospective. Come to think of it, I currently possess two copies of Joan Osbourne’s Relish. Really gotta get the CD rack organized…
For albums:
AC/DC - Back in Black
Meatloaf - Bat Out of Hell
Springsteen - All records through Nebraska
Each 3 or 4 times.
Additionally, many individual songs purchased digitally over the years. If I had to guess, I’d say *Bohemian Rhapsody *at least 7 times. (I was never good at backing stuff up back in the day…)
I keep having to buy Dark Side of the Moon. I’m on my 4th CD. That’s not to mention the vinyl and cassette.
My other one that I’ve bought more than twice is John Hartford’s Aereo-Plain.
I do this with Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks. I’m probably on copy five or six, although I did get it back once. Dylan ain’t for everyone.
Blood On The Tracks! Not a bad cut on the whole damn thing, Enginerd! My favorite? Lily, Rosemary and The Jack of Hearts. One damn great “story song”!
Bought it three times as well!
