D’oh! :smack: I confused “violently” with murdered. But Stringbean’s still a fair call. As I recall, he and his wife were gunned down after answering the front door. May have been by an acquaintance, not sure.

I don’t think that is the definition of celebrity. To me those two were a lot more well know than Berenson who was better know for who she was related to. David Angell won 24 emmys. I saw his name every week on Frasier (and Wings, and Cheers). Sure I wouldn’t recognize him in a restaurant but I knew who he was. Barbara Olsen was frequently on TV as a political commentator. She was on her way to tape Politically Incorrect on 9-11. And she wrote several books. And she was married to the Solicitor General of the United States.
Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley of the band Hanoi Rocks was killed by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil when Vince crashed into another car while drunk.
