In the spirit of the admired politicians thread.
For my part, Harrison Ford, because of this story of something he does in his spare time. I never knew, and now I do, and would gladly shake the man’s hand.

I admire Sean Connery, but for a much simplier reason:
he’s still the Man
I was also going to name Connery. Aside form being “The Man” he donates tons of money for Scottish schools and underpriveledges children. Connery himself grew up poor and gives back to where he came from to help other children from having to grow up the way he did.
(That’s what I read anyway.)
Harrison Ford. Tom Hanks. Any Celebrity that DOESN’T have an ‘entourage’.
Montel Williams. I can’t find the link but he once rescued somebody from a burning building. Plus, he served his country in the USMC.
Paul Newman. He donates all the money from “Newman’s Own” to charity.
Montel Williams.
Oprah.
Angela Lansbury. Classy and sweet.
Jimmy Carter, despite your political affiliations, he’s one of the few ex-presidents who actually does something (ANYTHING!) productive.
