Celebrity Death Pool 2015

Haskell Wexler, who was renowned as one of the most inventive cinematographers in Hollywood and an outspoken political firebrand, died on Sunday in Santa Monica, Calif. He was 93.

Jim O’Toole, a star pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds in the 1960s, died of cancer on Saturday. He was 78.

Meadowlark Lemon, Harlem Globetrotter Who Played Basketball and Pranks With Virtuosity, Dies at 83 Nooooo! He was one of my childhood Heroes/Turds!

In 2015 I was determined to at least get on the scoreboard. I picked several “sure things” only to guarantee an extra year of health for my chosen ones. When I made my lists in the past - before discovering this group of people who shared this interest - I always scored a few “long shots” as well as a few “sure things” I could just re-post my 2015 list but that seems a little weak…

Here’s to a better 2016

Can’t believe there’s less than 4 days left in the 2015 Death Pool! (Dammit, RAL’s 4-point lead is going to hold up, isn’t it? :p)
Have there been any deaths for points since Robert Loggia’s death on December 4?

(Marjorie Lord’s death was mentioned on December 12, but belatedly so: she died on November 28.)

St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Joe Strauss passed away on Sunday morning after a year-long battle with cancer. Age 54, multiple sources including SI.com

It has been a long and dry spell. Don’t give up hope. I won the “Final Hours” award pm 12/27. and those were my ONLY points for the year. It was an assassaination.

An “assassination” huh? Sounds a might suspicious to me. :dubious:

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, too. :dubious:

Saved a dozen cookies, she did.

Jim Breuer just tweeted and then deleted that Lemmy from Motörhead has died. He is friends with the band so he may have inside information. Or maybe he’s wrong. I’m not sure if that would be a unique pick for me.

Now Eddie Trunk is reporting it. When it hits a credible news source that will be 30 points for me.

BBC has it now.

Credible Enough?OfficialMotorhead

Here’s another link R.I.P. Lemmy Kilmister, Motörhead frontman dead at 70

Oscar-Winning Cinematographer Haskell Wexler Dies At 93. He also wrote, directed, and produced Medium Cool.

I still have time for my other 10 to bite it.

Also in post 2164. Still dead and still no points. I can post ‘em, not pick em’.

Five days ago it would have been 31.

OOOOOOOOps. Sorry, I missed that.
