Tarkanian bites it.
+1
Tarkanian is the first one to make me sad and not because I didn’t have him (although I didn’t.) Hell of a guy. Sorry he’s gone.
Tark the Shark is gone? How sad, but maybe now he’s coaching LMU’s Hank Gathers.
Son of a biscuit, he was on my list… for 2016.
I’m not the only one who’s started my '16 list already, am I?
Well, you’re just ahead of your time then!
No, I haven’t started my 2016 list yet.

Wikipedia:
Back in the early 1970s one favorite childhood memory was cross-country family road trips and stopping in at Canton OH at the Football Hall of Fame. Back then it had been open less than 10 years and was somewhat of a fledgling building and operation. Small crowds, at least on the days we went, and in the theater we could always ask the film operator to queue up our favorite requests like the '72 Dolphins and their perfect season. That was one of many we would request, and we’d watch those films back to back to back.
NFL Films were well done, who could forget John Facenda’s booming baritone voice, and yeah the music was cheesy and quickly dated but the shots and coverage were amazing, a treat to watch.
R.I.P., Ed, and say hello to Steve for us fans down here. And thank you both for your good works. Between your films and network TV coverage (say hi to Pete too, while you’re at it), you helped take a young league and showed the world what a great game football is.
Not a coach but to go with the basketball theme it doesn’t look good for Anthony Mason.
