The hawk babies have hatched! We can see them quite well through the binox when they move around in the nest, and they’re cute and fuzzy.
Local chihuahuas, beware! Mommy and Daddy Hawk have little mouths to feed.

Garo won’t attempt any more passes.
Many articles say he was best known for that bad pass attempt, but Yepremian was an excellent kicker, and back when soccer style kicking was new to the NFL, he and Jan Stenerud were two of the best of the first such kickers.
Yepremian didn’t play football as a child growing up on Cyprus, he played soccer. When he was older and attended one of his first football games in the US, when one team was lining up for a difficult field goal (difficult because of the distance), Garo asked his friend what the teams were doing. His friend explained what the kicker was attempting.
Garo replied, “Oh, that shouldn’t be too hard.”
