My favorite Scandawhovian, Stan Boreson, has died. To honor ol’ Yogi Jorgessn, I shall eat Swedish meatballs and drink beer while walking in my winter underwear.
The great comic book artist Dan Spiegle, whom I decided at the last minute to not put on my comics-themed list, has died at the age of 96. Some obituaries.

Took my grandkids to see his show at the Tacoma Pantages about 7 or 8 years ago. Threatened to make then eat lutefisk if they didn’t laugh. They thought he was hilarious. He was the last of the local kid show hosts in the Seattle Tacoma area. RIP J.P. Patches, Captain Puget, Wanda Wanda and Stan Boreson.

Yup. John Hurt would have fit my themed list (“British boozers”) as well. But I didn’t think of him at the time. I’m new to this, but I knew I wanted to do minimal research. As such I’m fully expecting to finish the year with the same number of points as I had at the start.
