LTG Hal Moore who wrote the book We Were Soldiers Once…and Young and who was played by Mel Gibson in the movie has moved on to Fiddlers Green a couple of days before his 95th birthday.
For those of you scoring at home that’s the third person to die this year that I took off of my list.
Apparently he was assassinated, which leads me to believe that friends and co-workers of Kim Jong-il should be exempt from this game-it’s somewhat akin to being on Death Row.

Many Canadians are sharing memories of Stuart on social media. I can safely say that many of us have sat in the car on a Sunday afternoon just listening to the end of the story. Sometimes with tears of joy or tears of laughter or tears of melancholy in our eyes but always with a song in our hearts.
You will be missed Stuart. As will Dave and Morely and their many, many stories.
