I think phungi accidentally missed the updated scores for** Mahaloth** (78 pts.), notfrommensa (82 pts.) and me (88 pts.) on the February 8 post. Since then, Quartz has scored 55 more points, while** Team Dirt** and I have picked up an additional 39 points.

By the way, thanks phungi and** RTFirefly** for helping out Idle Thoughts with the standings. It’s easy to follow the scores in that format.

I looked back at the submissions, and Mahaloth posted an updated list (Post 232, 12-27-2016, 04:20 PM) which removed Joost van der Westhuizen.

Apparently he was assassinated, which leads me to believe that friends and co-workers of Kim Jong-il should be exempt from this game-it’s somewhat akin to being on Death Row.

Points I really, really did not want. I really hoped I was wrong on this one.

Stuart McLean, broadcaster, storyteller, Canadian Icon, dead at 68 of melanoma.

Many Canadians are sharing memories of Stuart on social media. I can safely say that many of us have sat in the car on a Sunday afternoon just listening to the end of the story. Sometimes with tears of joy or tears of laughter or tears of melancholy in our eyes but always with a song in our hearts.

You will be missed Stuart. As will Dave and Morely and their many, many stories.
