In 2015 we had a New Year’s Day tie for the opening kickoff award, Mario Cuomo and Jeff Golub. I’m not so macabre that I tried to research who died earliest in the day.
I think being expected to be compiling a bunch of last minute entries at midnight on your birthday is a reasonable excuse to be a bit testy.
I saw Danica Patrick as an entry by one of the contestants. Since she is no longer racing my guess is that she will meet her demise by being run over on the LA Freeway because she was going slower than everyone else…

With no intentions of stepping on the DeathMistress’ turf, I am working on the ScoreKeeper (an Excel file that lets you input year of death and track the scores). For those with access, it is in a new “2019” folder in the Shared DropBox folder.

I can’t remember what year it was but someone once asked the question about the longest wait until the first selected celebrity got nailed to the perch. I believe it was very early in the history of the game but for the years I’ve been playing Death Mistress I don’t know what the answer is.

For the next couple of days I won’t be online much. As I type I’m just back from the hospital. My 86 year old mother fell and her hip is broken. She will have surgery later this morning, I don’t know exactly when, but the next day or two will be hairy.
So if I’m not right on top of the opening kickoff, I will get to things as soon as I can.
