One quarter through the year, and it seems like a low-scoring year so far. Anyone know how it compares to other years?
Well, my picks have taken up snake handling, sky diving without parachutes, and picking and eating toadstools. One can do anything when one is immortal!
It has the same number of days as roughly 75% of them but other than that I got nuttin. 
I didn’t even make a list this year. All of my picks from 2018 are still alive. Only three of my picks from 2017 have died. Heck, my 2016 list was a redo of my list from 2010, and only half of them have died.
Based on my experience, this year is same old same old.
For me, it’s exactly the same as every other year I’ve ever played: I have zero points.
So I shouldn’t be disappointed because I have zero points after 3 months in the first year that I’ve played?
Nope. It’s what makes you one of us

She’s got a Wiki page, which is more than Joey Feek had when she got sick.
I have no way to know if you are correct with that but she was certainly known as part of a country music duo. Their first two albums were in the top 10 on the country charts long before she got sick. Niche for sure but a lot less niche than some who have been worth points in the past.
The CBC reported it, along with others, nobody challenged it, so I rule it is valid. Congrats.
