Holy shit I had no idea he was that old! He was older than my parents.
He wasn’t the lead singer. Benjamin Orr had the lead on probably half the songs.
But yeah. Sad news.
This was not just what he needed.

I didn’t know precisely how old he was. But I remember The Cars hit it big when I was in high school and I know how long ago that was.
Phyllis Newman dead at 86.
I caught a “blurb” of that over at AOL ------- surprised the hell out of me. She seemed to have it beaten pretty much but at her age you can never tell. Hell, at any age you can never tell.
I’m old enough to remember when all the game shows were based in new York, and they had a regular procession of Broadway performers appearing on them. Phyllis Newman appeared time and time again, and always earned the adjective “vivacious.”
Canadian author Graeme Gibson is dead at 85
