Notice in each case the title has “Deathpool” and not “Death Pool” and if your advanced search has “death” in the title and not “death*” the early years won’t produce hits.
Good that you found them, though! Good work.

I’ve never read the threads, though I have no issue with them.
I guess I usually just follow http://www.deathbeeper.com/ to see who’s died.
That, and I find most celebrities annoying, so I would never be very good at the competition.
But maybe I’ll check this years thread just to stay in the know.
Resistance is futile.
You will be assimilated.
Check out this new book- all about Death Pools!
Fascinating. Read it yet? Any mention of SDMB’s pool(s)?
I don’t exactly use the thread to check deaths, but I notice when the thread pops up into the top of the Game Room, so I know to look around for news.
Yes, I have read the book. Most of it at least. some good ideas to organinze your lists, and a great chapter on the history of death pools.
I put that I check the thread daily but really I only read it when there are new posts. Which sometimes is daily, but sometimes goes a lot longer.
Winning is more about being good at using Google for research than it is about knowing a lot of celebrity trivia, IMO.
I find it difficult to stay out of memorial threads just to mention how many points they were.
I’m aware of the Death Pool, and don’t have any particular objection to it, but I also don’t have much interest in it, and so don’t follow it at all.
