Celebrity Deathpool 2000

Keep tabs on the current dead/not dead status of TV’s Fish at AbeVigoda.com.

God, how I love the web.

I’d like to thank all of those who made this possible,

Mainly, Charles Schultz and Ian Dury.
Way to kick the bucket guys!

Um… I mean… They will be missed, may they rest in peace, yada yada yada.

I’d also like to thank Little Nemo for a great job doing the stats. This was a lot of fun.

I’d also like to thank, my psychic advisor, my therapist, my barber, my parents, my dentist, my friends, that girl on the bus, my cousin, the National Enquirer, my postal carrier, the Pope, my chiropractor, Kreskin, my alter ego, Dionne Warwick, my pharmacist, the moderators of this board, Cecil Adams, and the Chicago Reader, all without whom, this moment would not be possible.

Yes, it can truly be said that Ian Dury did not die in vain. He died so that smug could take a 18 point lead in Celebrity Deathpool.

So close, yet so far… I will accept my second place finish and try again next year…

OL’ DIRTY BASTARD
SADDAM HUSSEIN
GERALD FORD
SCOTT HALL
DUFF
ANDY DICK
AL “GRANDPA” LEWIS
ART LINKLETTER
REV. BILLY GRAHAM
LADY BIRD JOHNSON

Now I am not only going to put who will most likely die, I will put who I want to die.

Wants(not really, they would be better off this way though),

Vinnie and Juan, this is the 2000 thread. I’ll move your picks over to the 2001 thread.

And now the envelope please. Barring any last minute lawsuits contesting some retired celebrity’s vital signs in Palm Beach County, I’m declaring the winner of Celebrity Deathpool 2000 is:

smug

Get up here, ya big lug, and give us a speech.

Hmmm, what’s that? He already made his speech? Three days ago?

Well, uhh, this is kinda irregular but I guess he did win and all…

Ummm … coff … coff … it seems that smug couldn’t be here today as he is on location in … Tibet. Working on … his next project. So … that’s all and good night.

when I used to do this years ago, one of my favourite bets was: “Any of the three remaining Beatles”. Does this count as one or three goes???

One celebrity per guess. Three former Beatles = three picks. Four if you count Pete Best.

And remember, post to the 2001 thread.

Well, Robert Downey Jr is not dead yet

@Danger_Man

I love seeing “20 Years Later” on your post.

You may be interested in this thread, where we posted our first lists and said who was still alive off our oldest lists.

It seemed like a good bet at the time.

However, I’ll admit I don’t remember why I thought DiCaprio was likely to die in 2000.

Thanks for linking to that thread. If I have the time, I want to go through this thread and see who has the most living people on their list now 20 years later.
