Harry Secombe just croaked. Can we have a ruling on this one?
So we’re at:
Drain Bead - 33
Lamar Mundane - 28
Mullinator - 28
jr8 - 21
Montfort - 6
Shirley Ujest - 6
And of course:
Little Nemo - 0
Would it be to much to ask for Anna Nicole Smith to swallow some sleeping pills with a Scotch chaser?
Erm, don’t want to labour the point, but Seacombe died just before jr8 posted. Check my link (a couple of posts above) to see the relevant story.
I’m not accusing jr8 of anything underhand of course, and I haven’t even posted my lucky 13, but say I was to include Joey Ramone d’ye think anyone would mind?
No offense taken, ev, but given that the late Sir Harry was on my list posted December 4 (first page of this thread), I think my prediction qualifies.
My recent post was just a reminder that I had, in fact, “scored”.
I’m just creating havoc here aren’t I? You’re quite right of course. BTW Good pick! I didn’t realise anyone had heard of The Goons your side of the pond.
Let me guess – you’re reading the date format DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY. Hence the Dec 04/April 12 confusion.
“My side of the pond” is currently London, although I was a Goons fans even before I moved from the US. You may note that Spike Milligan is also on my list, although I’m secretly convinced he’ll outlive us all. Mad as a brush, that one.
Alfred Moen (creator of the single-handled faucet)
Joey Ramone (creator of the song I sang on my way to surgery last week)
Douglas Adams (creator of life, the universe, and everything)
Perry Como (creator of the Christmas Album–well, he might as well have been)
I hadn’t heard about Perry Como’s death until just now. He was 88 when he died (about a week short of his 89th birthday). That’s 12 points each for Rachelle, Stephe96, and Zyada, by my count. Still waiting for the official word from Little Nemo, though.
I LOVED Jesse!----He was that cute, 98 lbs., string bean, wacko, NY kid that won the first year that MTV ran their “YOU pick our next VJ” contest.
BTW—one of the first posts had MORTON DOWNEY JR…(right after ROBERT) MORTON has already died.
No one picked Joey or Doug, so they died in vain. But Perry, always the good sport, died a week before his birthday just to ensure an extra point for those who chose him.
Drain Bead - 32 - (Morton Downey Jr.)
Lamar Mundane - 28 - (Al McGuire)
Mullinator - 28 - (Al McGuire)
jr8 - 21 - (Harry Secombe)
Rachelle - 12 - (Perry Como)
Stephe96 - 12 - (Perry Como)
Zyada - 12 - (Perry Como)
Montfort - 6 - (Anne Morrow Lindberg)
Shirley Ujest - 6 - (Anne Morrow Lindberg)

This entire SD Team. You guys are sick…
(P.S.: How many points would that give me?)
Once again, I suck at this.
When doctors lose all hope with a terminally ill patient, they call me and ask me to put them on my Death List.

Eh, viva, you’re either six months late, or six months early for the Celebrity Deathpool 2002; the deadline for submissions was 1/1/2001 for this year.
Waaa. John Lee Hooker.
