Cell phone: "Delete data on SIM card to receive operator message? "

I picked up my phone and opened it and on the screen was “Delete data on SIM card to receive operator message?” with the options being “OK” and “EXIT”… not knowing what it was, I hit exit, and it said something like “not enough memory on sim card to accept message”

Any idea WTF that means?

Nokia 6133 phone on t-mobile.

I think the operator (T-Mobile) is sending you a special operator SMS that needs to be saved on your SIM. The phone does not think there is enough room on the SIM (either there isn’t enough room or the room configured on the phone is filled up).

If you have SMSes from T-Mobile in your inbox, you might try clearing them out. I doubt that is the problem TBH.

This thread talks about a problem similar to yours. It is a different phone, but the same OS. It may help.
