One of the few good things about this story is that the guy played for the NDSU Bison, and NOT my beloved UND Fighting Sioux.
This guy last May walks into a Fargo branch of Verizon pissed about his bill/service and trashes the place. Over $20,000 in damage. AND HE"LL ONLY SERVE 60 DAYS!
In addition, he flung his phone and struck an employee in the shoulder. (Not as bad as a shooting, but doing this to me may well result in gunfire) As well as the fear these people must have felt having a psycho going ballistic.
Hey, shithead. The local office has little to nothing to do with your plan with Verizon. Now, I could see if you went in at 10 and tried to get the problem worked out while over the next 2 hours the office workers mocked you and told you to shove it. Nothing shows that happening at any time. And taking into account your previous arrests at bars, I suspect you have some anger shit deal with.
NDSU (a.k.a. “Harvard on the Prairie”) graduate checking in. Hopefully, UND will get accredited soon…
Seriously, that guy is a piece of work. I hope he’s one of the few North Dakota residents who come to the realization that it is OK to leave the state–as long as he doesn’t choose Minnesota.
Hmmm… tell you what. Go trash a Cingular store, get arrested at four of the meanest roughest bars in town and trip up a couple of little old ladies crossing the street and I’ll see what I can do with the awards committee.
If you come down to Eagan, I will promise not to tape you to a tree if one of the beanies I posses is actually yours… Ah, college memories. I was almost a Cobber–the high school I attended was the sister-school of Concordia.
Aside from the price tag on the damage he did, I don’t find this tale all that special. I watched a client make war on a wall-to-wall shelving unit and paper our office with pamplets a few months ago with less provocation. Isn’t this one of those things that assholes and bullies do?
It works, too. Pamplet Slayer was upset that he had to wait a week for an appointment (where most were waiting at least two. He’d already kicked up a fuss and gotten special treatment. It just wasn’t special enough). He was seen the next day.
At least the verizon crusader gets to cool his heels for a little while in jail. Hope that $20,000 bill sits nicely atop his disputer phone bill, too.
Yeah the guy is a real piece of work. Saw that article in tuesday’s Fargo Forum, with mugshot. Dude looked like a hothead. As I recall, he was interviewed in the Forum a while back, after the third arrest. He was talking about moving somewhere else. I think I speak for most fo Fargo when I say, “Yes, please move. I hear Minneapolis is nice.”
