Cell phone ringtones

Oh gosh, if anyone knows where to find that for a Sprint phone, my husband would LOVE to have it.

Me, I’ve got the “Inspector Gadget” theme song as my default ring (Verizon phone).

For my daughter’s calls I hear the “Fraggle Rock” theme.
And my brother gets the closing theme from “Looney Tunes.”

My mate has that as his ringtone, it is pretty awesome. Plus it’s always funny to see him dive for his phone when we’re watching TV and Futurama comes on.

Well, that would be my wife’s ringtone. It’s her “work ring”. When her office calls her, that’s the one that sounds off. And the one she dreads, since it usually means she has to go and work. But, at least it’s distinctive.

Funny - I’ve got an excerpt from the same show - “If You Were Gay” - try playing THAT in a crowded Target :D. Luckily, I rarely get incoming calls on my cell phone.

I also have “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.

My current rigntone is the “Manamana” sogn from the Muppets. If you don’t know what I am talking about…

Manamana

Right now I’ve got the chorus from Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” set when messages come in, regular calls trigger the first few bars of the live version of Slayer’s “Raining Blood”.

It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

…is my default ringtone on Vibe&Ring, which means I have 1.8 seconds to dig the phone out, and divert the call if I’m in a meeting, or else I suffer the delicious embarrasment.

Ringtones for family are tunes from the Weebl’n’Bob webcomic folks, including Choccy, Scampi, and Kenya (heeeere come de lions…only in Kenya!).

I haven’t decided on text-message tone yet.

I’m not sure I would call mine unusual–it came standard on my phone anyways. But I have Flight of the Bumblebee as my ringtone. I hate polyphonic ringtones with a passion (so even if I could use .wavs or .mp3s, I likely wouldn’t), which is the main reason this won out over Canon in D. There were also quite a few phone ringing choices, but I wanted something a little different.

I’d like to have Napoleon Solo saying “Open channel D.” Or maybe a voice that screams, “Turn off that stinkin’ cell phone!”

My favorite ring tone is the sound of a woman having an orgasm

I’ve got the “Grab your dick and double click for porn, porn, porn” section playing for my text messages. And it would just so happen that it usually goes off 3 or 4 times when I’m listening to my MP3 player in the middle of Borders, oblivious to the world. Some of the looks I get…

If I can get my hands on the Avenue Q album, “Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist” is going to be my next ringtone.

I have “Liberty” (the Monty Python’s Flying Circus theme song). In a similar vein I think it’d be neat to have the Benny Hill highspeed “dee dee deedle dee…” song.

When I get around to loading it on, it’ll be Manu Chao’s “Me Gustas Tu,” which is nice and mellow.

I forgot to mention one of MY ringtones…

Okay. I have a good friend who’s just utter white trash. There’s really nothing wrong with it in her case, she’s a total sweetheart and generally really awsome, but she’s the kind of person you’re going to see in a trailer park in five years wearing a muumuu with rollers in her hair, shaking a rolled-up newspaper at her next-door neighbor’s yard. I love her to death, and I don’t really have a problem with white trash (unless they’re on Jerry Springer…and I don’t think she’d go that far) but it’s a common joke amongst our friends, even with her.

So I have the “Roseanne” theme song (the one from the final season with lyrics) playing when she calls. I picked up some programs to make my own ringtones, and I made that one just for her.

Also, anyone who can download stuff from the Internet through a text message on their phone can use the phone uploader ( http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/index.php ) to upload ringtones you’ve downloaded to your phone, if you don’t have a cable.

Oh sweet! Thanks!

You can also use MobStorage if you can’t do the text download thing. You need internet access on your phone. Go to the linked site above, upload a file from your computer and it gives you a short number code to use. Using the browser on your phone go to wap.mobstorage.com and enter in the code you were given. You can download any type of file that your phone supports this way.
