Cell Phone Spam!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I beseech the world to explain this, the ninth mystery of the world.

I receive a message at least once a day on my Sprint PCS phone, a text message, and in it is about 10 words which appear to be part of a spam note. BUT THERE IS NO TRUE SPAM! NOTHING! Not a single way to “contact” the spammer, or to make it a legitimate advertisement. They never mention a brandname or a company so all I get is “Help consolidate your debt today! Be debt free!” or “Find the love of your life.” These are obviously not partial messages - so what the hell are they!? And how the hell did someone get my text messaging address / number?

Do you have your phone connected to your email? Perhaps those are the subject lines of email spam being displayed for your convenience.

You could email my phone with a text message, it had not occured to me that they might be simply the subject lines.

Well in the light of a new morning and with the calmness of still being half asleep the universe seems a little clearer.

Glad to be of help.
