anything I should be aware of?, (portable mixer, not truck!) can’t find any other examples of it having been done, which I find both cool, but also somewhat concerning, i’m going to clean all? the cement off inside and out, and paint it with a heatproof paint, is burning built up cement\mortar toxic?, it’s to be mounted upright on a wheelbarrow base, which I think should work well!, as for giving it some lower air holes, any formula or advice on sizes, numbers and location for best effect, Thanks…
I wouldn’t expect “heatproof” paint to be sufficient on the inside. I’d think you’d need flame proof paint, if they make such a thing. Won’t it just turn black anyway?
Will you be able to see any flames? Won’t they be too far down to see if you’re sitting?
Get a cover for it. I can dump rain water out of my fire bowl easily, but for your setup, it sounds like that will be a pain. Maybe the air holes will help.
Do you have a plan for cleaning the ashes out once in a while?
cement/mortar residue isn’t toxic when heated. the paint remaining on it would be.
paddles and cement/mortar residues will make cleaning ash and cinders hard to do.
you could paint it with stove paint.
This seems like a good idea–when the fire is completely out, just roll the mixer to the ash pile, point the mixer straight down to dump the ash and leave it upside down to keep it rainwater out!
