Is Cerenkov radiation dangerous to human life, in & of itself?
Čerenkov radiation is just electromagnetic radiation, and in fact, it cannot appear at frequencies approaching that of X-rays, according to the Frank–Tamm formula. It’s mostly in the ultraviolet, so the dangers would probably be similar to those of going out in the sun: Sunburn, with extended exposure increasing the risk of skin cancer, depending on the intensity, etc.
