Chairman Mao is no longer revered in China?

I can remember when Chairman Mao was the face of China. He was more closely associated with China then Lenin & Stalin in Russia.
Now Mao is no longer China’s George Washington?

That’s very interesting.

China’s secret police are still making people vanish off the street. Some things never change in China or Russia.

btw, the Mao/Washington comparison is quite interesting.

Washington lead the revolutionary war against the British and founded the US.

Mao lead the civil war (1927-50) against Chiang Kai-shek and founded modern China.

One nation a democracy and the other a totalitarian state.

It’s fascinating that China is turning away from Chairman Mao, and it still embraces totalitarianism.
