I’m especially curious about this one at the 3:20 mark. She’s gorgeous! (Yes, I know she’s probably dead by now. Don’t ruin this for me. :p)
Also, is it at all weird that Tex Avery, objectifies women in cartoons meant for kids? Did anybody give a shit at the time?
Alright, this could probably be two threads. But I’d like us to not lose sight of the first question. Tex used a lot of women in his cartoons. Who the heck were they?
I don’t know who the women are, yet.
But, regarding your other question: the cartoons were made to be shown in movies, pre-TV. They’re family entertainment, and that means entertaining Dad and all the other guys in the audience, not just the kids. Look at advertising at the time: the sexual objectification of women was so pervasive as to be accepted as the norm.
And yeah, she is gorgeous.
According to Wikipedia, she’s Joi Lansing.

Spooky. I usually scroll through the “died on this day” section of Wkipedia, and clicked on her bio two days ago.
Two days ago in 1972.
