Have any of your gamers joined the tournament? It just kicked off recently. They’re giving away sweepstakes prizes throughout the tournament, as well as grand prizes to the winners of each game.
ahhh…Computer gaming. Even better…sports gaming? I don’t think the word means what they think it means.
I never really got into computer gaming. I have an Xbox and Xbox live, so I play online. It’s pretty fun. And the Champions of Gaming tourney is really convenient to join, since you can join right out of the XBL menu. What sort of computer games do you play?
I play strategy games: the last multiplayer RT game I played was the last big MechWarrior game. If they just cleaned up the cheese you can do on the battlemap I’d love a multiplayer version of Medieval 2: Total War. I don’t have a console, but am thinking of getting one just to get Rock Band.
But there’s more to “Gaming” than computer games, too: board, tabletop, card, roleplaying, LARPing. (I don’t do all of those, but I am a fan of more than one of them :))
To be honest I’m surprised they included sports games. Usually this kind of thing forgets there’s anything other than FPS and RTS. I might be slightly more generous if there was an event along he lines of “Start with a fresh MMORPG server and you have twenty-four hours to build a character.”
ahh, Rock Band! Let it be warned that you will be hooked for life.
