Change colors on Google's traffic maps?

I have some degree of red-green colorblindness that is particularly acute when looking at bright colors on a computer monitor.

The green and red that Google Maps uses to indicate fast and slow traffic look nearly identical to me. I have peer at them for a long time to figure out whether the route I’ve chosen is moving along or jammed up.

Is there any way I can change the colors that it uses to indicate traffic congestion?

Dunno, but you might want to try Waze for your traffic avoidance needs, if you haven’t already. Google just recently bought Waze for their strength in that area, but I don’t know when that will be integrated into Google Maps.

If you google “google traffic “color blind”” you’ll see a lot of people have the same complaint. Google did change the colors slightly in 2009 which I guess is why you can see them at all. Yay, right?

Oddly enough, they don’t seem to be doing anything more about it.

Someone here might have a solution for you but…I don’t see anything online. You’d think the “color blind community” would have come up with something by now if they could have. But they’re still pissed.
