Changes in Trump since the DNC

His face looks pinker. I don’t think he’s lathering up with the orange stuff as regularly these days. And his hair looks thinner.

I’ve noticed that, too. Since he doesn’t seem like the type to lose weight the proper way – i.e., by improved diet and exercise – my guess would be he’s seriously ill or on one of the new diabetes drugs.

  • If he’s seriously ill: Is he waiting for a big moment to disclose it and earn sympathy votes? Too stubborn to admit he’s too sick to run?
  • If it’s drugs: Are there cognitive and/or energy-related side effects?

Besides all the good points already made, let’s not forget that he has been shot at just a few weeks ago. I think such an experience does something even to a psychopath. Maybe especially to a psychopath.

I assume that was auto-correct messing up “tiny accordion”. Ha, I noticed that, too. There’s been so much parody over his tiny invisible accordion, culminating in the hilarious bit that Obama did at the DNC, that Trump has been quite obviously (and badly) trying to suppress the invisible accordion. In one clip I saw recently, he very self-consciously had his left arm planted stiffly at his side, while his right arm was flailing about playing a sort of one-handed accordion. And then he forgot himself, the left-arm comes shooting up, and there’s the full-fledged invisible accordion again in a virtuoso performance! It was quite comical.

In other news, if Trump has been having bad days, today just got a whole lot worse as the Special Counsel files a brand new superseding indictment on the Jan 6 insurrection case.

Well, who wants fat hair?

The thin hair and bad makeup suggests to me that Trump’s ADHD is flaring up like never before, making it impossible for his makeup people to do their thing. It’s almost like he has a compulsive need to keep moving his head around because if he stays still for too long something terrible might happen…

Guess what Donald? That feeling is never going away.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, personal fixer, and Inarguably The Most Objective Man In The World When It Comes To Trump (</s>), swears that the tiny accordion is one of Trump’s most prominent ‘tells’ that lets you know when he’s lying.

I’ll leave the laundry list of obvious related jokes (eg., “The other one being breathing”) out for now

You are correct, sir! I usually check for those things, but this one got by me.
Thanks!

Yesterday in Detroit:

Is this policy?

Dr. Strangesqueeze. “Mein Führer I can harmonize!”

In Trump’s world, yes. Trump is setting the groundwork just in case the Republican party grows a spine and boots him. The fantasy Trump had about Biden coming into the DNC to retake his nomination is about himself. Nevermind that the Republicans have already had their convention. Trump will find a stage somewhere, force himself onto it (as is his habit) and have his own personal January 6th, with traitors to be executed forthwith. Fealty to God-King Trump and his mercurial moods is his one and only policy.

It’s just sheer whiplash from gone from being 2 touchdowns ahead to 2 touchdowns behind. Trump had been beating up great on Biden. Now suddenly the Dems yank the carpet from underneath and switcheroo to Kamala. The solid lead Trump had slowly assembled piece by piece over Biden now vanishes into thin air.

One thong occurs to me: in 2016, by all accounts, Trump really didnt think he would win, and he didn’t really care. Once he won, it apparently gave him a thrill he’s been chasing ever sincs. 2020, he really, really thought he’d win, get another hit on that pipe. But he didn’t, and the letdown was epic enough to spawn Jan 6 and everything else.

This time, on some level, he muat be unsure. And I don’t think he does we with uncertainty. Its not his natural habitat.

Come on, didn’t you see all the breakfast products?

He also does the thing where he tips his head a bit to one side and looks off to one side and then the other while he starts blathering. That’s when he’s clearly just making shit up as he goes. Of course, he’s always making shit up as he goes, but that’s one of his big tells.

I think that’s part of it. I think the other part is that being POTUS puts you in a fishbowl in a way that really nothing else will. Not even a self-promoting “personality” who has been in the news and on TV for decades. And some of the shenanigans that flew under the radar were brought to light.

If you recall, there were predictions that if Trump didn’t win in 2020 he’d be in a real legal bind, and vulnerable in a way he wasn’t while in office. And that he’d be desperate to hang onto that job for at least 4 more years. And sure enough, we had never-ending claims of election fraud and even an attempted fraud of his own perpetuated by fake electors to steal the election somehow, and aided by a half-assed insurrection to try to delay certification of his defeat.

Now he’s a convicted felon and only by a really incomprehensible SCOTUS decision and one corrupt judge in Florida is he not on the verge of more convictions. So his fear of legal jeopardy was justified.

He both wanted and legally needed to hang onto that power.

Let’s not discount the delayed physical reaction to being shot in the head. PTSD is real and onlookers can see behavioral changes that the sufferer is not aware of.

On top of what everyone else said.

I would feel sorry for that rat on top of his head, but “you are what you eat” and that rat chose the locale.

I was actually quoting someone; was curious if anyone would recognize it.

ETA: It’s probably enough of a hijack already.

What? What is Trump talking about there?
